Last week we introduced, the new BONNE x BENZAK jacket, the first style of our latest collaboration with Candiani. Today we’ve released the remainder of this limited edition capsule collection in our webshop.
This new collection consists of a series of limited edition pieces, created from upcycled and surplus selvedge denim fabrics. There’s total of six garments available:

The garments have been shot on Candiani team members at their micro-factory in Milan.

12 oz. midnight blue selvedge

The 12 oz. midnight blue selvedge is a super dark indigo x black denim fabric. Because of its dark appearance (it has an indigo dyed warp and a black weft) the fabric is quite clean and formal looking. However, it has an amazing fading potential because eventually the white core of the indigo dyed yarns will get exposed with wear and wash, creating a super high contrast fading pattern. It might take a bit longer than average, but the end results of these type of fabrics are always stunning.
12 oz. petrol blue selvedge
BWS-03 MILITARY OVERSHIRT (limited to 63 pieces)
The 12 oz. petrol blue selvedge is a bright petrol blue denim fabric with an ecru weft. The overall appearance of this fabrics is already quite light, which makes this less suitable for contrast fading, but much better at maintaining its original shade.
BDJ-T2 TYPE II JACKET (new style)
The BDJ-T2 TYPE II JACKET is our take on the classic type II jacket. It has a boxy fit with a shorter length, just like its vintage inspiration. The flaps of the two chest pockets follow our signature horn shape. The BDJ-T2 also features the classic pleated front placket, which is finished with archetypal box stitching, paying further homage to its influential origins. We’ve modernised the style by adding two large inner pockets, providing some extra space to hold personal belongings.
12.5 oz. mineral brown hemp selvedge (limited to 110 pieces)
12.5 oz. natural indigo hemp selvedge (limited to 131 pieces)
The 12.5 oz. mineral brown and natural indigo hemp selvedge are constructed from a blend of cotton and hemp. The warp yarns made of 100% organic cotton and are dyed with a deeply fixed dyestuff. The undyed weft is where you can find the hemp, at around two-thirds of its composition, while for the remainder conventional cotton is used. The hemp contributes to an interesting uneven structure and tinted look on the inside.
The entire capsule collection, including the previously released BONNE x BENZAK JACKET, is now available through our webshop and at the Candiani store in Milan. Because all garments are created from upcycled and surplus selvedge denim fabrics, quantities are limited and won't be restocked.
